Hardly a newcomer to GHCC having first played for the village in 1977, captained the 1st XI for a number of years in the 80's. Solid opening bat "especially solid these days, don't ask me to run any 3's if you are easily offended, 2's are ok if I played the shot, quick singles are a definite 'no no' unless of course I played the shot and there is no danger of me being run out" good fielder at any position, preferably as close to the bar/bat as possible, but don't expect me to chase the ball to the boundary, or walk from long leg to long leg especially if you are easily offended. Still enjoys a beer after the game, and before the game, and will never take offence by anyone offering to buy me a beer to go with the cucumber sandwiches. Don't agree with the 13:00 starts limits the pre-match drinking on a Sunday when the pubs only open at 12:00........ thoroughly looking to taking the field with some of you during the coming weeks.
